Dexter Cattle
The first record of Dexter Cattle was in 1887 published in the "Farmer's Gazette" in Dublin.
Irish Dexter Cattle were imported to the United States according to first records in 1905. They thrive in hot as well as cold climates and do well outdoors year round, needing only a windbreak, shelter and fresh water. Fertility is high and calves are dropped in the field without difficulty.
They are dual purpose, being raised for both milk and meat. Producing 1-3 gallons of milk per day and high quality lean meat in small cuts with very little waste.
These animals are strictly grass fed on rotational grazing from as early as April through as late as November. They are always allowed area to roam within a pasture and not fed grains.

Animals are available seasonally. All pastured veal is left with it's mother until date of butcher. Pricing may vary, contact for more details.
